Idk if it’s looking for an LR sum on one channel or maybe uses some random channels, but that seems to be the problem as it’s a program specific issue. A selectable stereo pair can be recorded alongside the 16 mono channels, and multi-track audio can be played back to the 16 mono channels plus ST1. So somehow OBS isn’t working the same as audacity in how it’s reading USB. It’s not a mixer issue - I can use a main output cable to my PC (XLR L/R to 3.5mm line in), and my levels are fine. That works fine, as long as USB 1/2 is set properly.

My problem is, its USB line in doesn’t work with OBS. I’ll put the reason at the end should anyone be curious. I got a Qu-16 because a) I just love gear, b) I wanted multitrack audio recording, and c) I wanted something capable of outputting different mixes. I had no luck so far at Allen Heath’s forums, so I figured I’d try this community, though understandably most people aren’t going to have the same, or any, mixer, depending on their setup.
